First day after the vacation
This will be some ranting about the kids that work at the same place as me. Yesterday was the first day after my two week vacation and I was set up to do some grunt work just to get rid of the rust that built up after the rest. I was going to make some probes! My probes consists of a tip that is glued in a pipe that is glued in a third L shaped pipe. The nice workshop guys here made me ten probe sets, i.e. ten L’s ten ‘tip pipes’ and ten middle pipes. The L’s are made of brass and soldered into the L shape by one workshop guy that now have quit (which is why I let him do many for me!). The other pipes are of course diameter matched and cut into custom lengths. Theese ten sets were lying in a bag: (pic 1),

The bag was marked 10 sets. And was lying in the second drawer of this wooden cabinet (pic 2):

I circled the note here. The note says “XXX Experiment, Don’t touch without permission from Timmy (me)”. Difficult to miss?
When I wanted to start yesterday I couldn’t at first find the bag. But after some cynical looking I found it in the metal cabinet to the right in the picture. Looking in the bag I found 8 L’s, 5 middle pieces and 8 tip pieces.
Now I got pissed but saw a note that a guy wrote where he said that he sent some tubes to a friend now in Italy. After some e-mails I found two of my middle pipes in Italy.
More importantly I knew who had been rummaging about in my cabinet. I met the guy who sent the pipes to Italy and he just said that he didn’t see any notes…
My conclusion is that the world is most definately corroding apart and that researchers are mentally in the age of 11.
Another conclusion could be that they don’t like me so they don’t care about my marked stuff.
